Exploring Shiné

Exploring Shiné

from a Dzogchen Perspective

Is Shiné meditation
an introductory practice
or a gateway to contemplation
(or both)?

This ongoing weekly course approaches Shiné from a Dzogchen view - practicing the Calm State without limitation.

Combining instruction and guided meditation with discussion of participants' experiences, these sessions are an exploration of what we discover on (and off) the cushion.

The first three sessions in January will review of basics :

  • engaging Body, Voice and Mind in practice
  • the relationship of stillness to contemplation
  • the evolving stages of Shiné meditation

If you missed the Fall presentation of this course, please join in the initial classes for a background on these topics.

Taught by Santi Maha Sangha teacher Lynn Newdome, who has practiced Shiné and Lhagthong for over 40 years, and is also a trained Shiné/Lhagthong (Shamatha/Vipashyana) meditation instructor in the Kagyu Mahamudra tradition.

Mondays at 6:00 EST via Zoom*
